Antonio Marras Autumn/Winter 2012-13, Milan Fashion Week

Marras was creative director at Kenzo until last year and the folkloric look is one he does well, often with a touch of nostalgia or reference of the retro. Here is where he translated the life of Milly again this evening - sending out ladylike coats collaged together with furry panels or those of orange-y chintz patterns. Or there was tweed or even furrier panels to point out hems.  They were the essence of eclectic and came worn with a neat day clutch and either a pencil skirt which splayed at its end or with wide-leg, short-at-the-knee trousers.

Marras collection -Dresses and coats showed off waists with big belts whilst some riffed on an obi style, and a few wandered down the catwalk with the season's favourite design addition - the peplum.
